1.2 Who these terms cover

“We”, “us” and “our” mean SAFE TOOLS LIMITED. “You” means the customer. A consumer is an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. A business customer acts mainly for business purposes. “Hire” and “rent” mean temporary use without transfer of ownership. A working day means Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays at the relevant fulfilment location; calendar days include weekends and public holidays. These policies apply to UK orders we accept. Business customers must identify their status before ordering. Statutory consumer cancellation rights do not normally apply to business purchases or hires, but product descriptions, agreed prices and our express contractual commitments still apply. Any separate business terms must be supplied and agreed before the order; they cannot be imposed afterwards.

1.3 Prices payment and acceptance

Consumer prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Mandatory charges are included in the displayed total where calculable; where a charge depends on your address or selection, its basis is stated clearly and the exact total is shown before you commit. We do not add undisclosed compulsory fees at payment. Optional extras require your active choice. Where applicable, hire deposits are identified separately from hire charges. An order acknowledgement confirms receipt only. A contract is formed when we send an express order acceptance confirming the items, price, fulfilment and, for hire, dates. For a walk-in or physical order, acceptance occurs when we agree the order and payment terms at the counter. We provide the required information before you are bound and confirm distance contracts on paper, by email or another durable medium within a reasonable time, no later than delivery and before any hire service starts. For off-premises contracts, we provide the required copy or confirmation on paper, or another durable medium if you agree. If we cannot accept an order, we will explain and promptly refund any payment taken. We do not charge a surcharge for consumer debit or credit card payments. Our telephone line for questions about an existing contract is charged at no more than the basic rate. Optional extras are not pre-selected. An online payment obligation button must make the commitment clear, including where payment is due on collection (i.e the customer may choose to make payment at the point of collection). However, both online and physical customers will be directed to make payment through our online platform or a secured payment link. All approved hire requests will include a secured payment link and total amount to be paid.

1.4 Changes and applicable law

We do not substitute products or change an accepted price without your agreement. We will supply goods as advertised or described on our website. Customer becomes the rightful owner of every product purchased when the price is paid in full and they are handed over or delivered; hired tools, equipment or machinery remains ours and should be returned as agreed. This does not change the consumer delivery-risk rules. Updated terms apply to future orders only unless a change is legally required or agreed. Consumers retain the mandatory protections and court rights of the UK nation in which they live. No clause requires a consumer to bring proceedings exclusively in another UK nation.
